Burgers at the beach

Fresh seafood is a staple along the Heart of the Florida’s Emerald Coast but our restaurants don’t disappoint in the burger department! A delicious and juicy burger is always a treat so take a moment to experience some of the best burgers along the beach.

While exploring Downtown Fort Walton Beach stop into the Cowhead for a fun burger experience.  It’s easy to spot with a hot pink exterior and neon yellow sign.  Their extensive burger menu will have something for everyone.   Give their Juicy Lucy a try – it’s stuffed with American cheese! Breakfast lovers will love their brunch burger with beef, hash browns, fried egg, and bacon jam.  Feeling creative?  Build your own burger with an array of toppings and cheeses to choose from and a side of tots.  Finish your meal off with a hand scooped milkshake.  A burger always pairs well with a cold brew and Props Craft Brewery is the perfect spot to enjoy both.  They even offer burger beer pairing recommendations so you can make the perfect selection.  Try their Pimento Burger topped with fried jalapeno straws, pimento cheese, red onions, and pickles on a brioche bun paired with their Flying Coffin IPA.

Guests headed to the beach at the Boardwalk can satisfy their appetites with a stop at Al’s Burger Bar.  Their motto is one we can get behind, “eat, drink, beach, repeat.”  Grab a daiquiri (served in a signature palm tree cup!) and enjoy your burger alongside the sun and sand.  You’ll also find Rockin Tacos at the Boardwalk and their menu features a burger with a unique Mexican twist.  The “Rockin Burger” is loaded with a 1/2 lb. double patty seasoned and grilled, topped with queso, chorizo, pico de gallo, and guacamole.

McGuire’s in Destin is known for their steaks and Irish faire but don’t forget their extensive burger selection.   Burgers are served with Irish potato fries and homemade baked beans so you won’t leave hungry.   If you’re feeling fancy give their Grand Burger a shot.  It boasts a filet mignon patty, served with a side of caviar, merlot sauces and bottle of champagne!  On the other spectrum, a fun burger to taste is McGuire’s Terrible Garbage Burger, it has little bit of everything on top.  Let your server know in advance if you can finish three burgers and you’ll be awarded the Alka-Seltzer Award with your prize being a free McGuire’s tee and of course, an Alka-Seltzer.
